How this check works
We query A, AAAA, CNAME, TXT, NS and MX using the scanner’s recursive resolver. Open each finding to see its records and lookup state. If an expected record is absent, check the authoritative zone and the earlier TTL before editing the configuration again.
Choose the hostname you mean
A record on your main domain may differ from a record on a subdomain. This tool normalizes a leading www to the main domain and retains other subdomains. DNS results come from the scanner's resolver, not a worldwide propagation network.
Missing does not always mean broken
AAAA records are optional, and a zone apex normally has no CNAME. Assess missing records by the service you expect to run. TXT records may contain unrelated verification values that are perfectly normal.
Common questions
Why are my recent changes not visible?
Resolvers can retain earlier answers until their cache expires. Check the authoritative provider and allow the old record's TTL to pass.
Does this test global DNS propagation?
No. It shows the answers visible from the scanner's resolver at the time of the scan.
